Lord, I thank you for the gifts you have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in your honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job. Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring you glory.

Lord, when I am confused guide me. When I am burned out infuse me with the light of the Holy Spirit. May the work that I do and the way I do it bring faith, joy, and a smile to all that I come in contact with today.

I first saw this in a newspaper - AG Times. Somehow, I was touched when I read it and went to search online. So just to believe in and have faith…

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,

other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed

that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish,

sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,  that if I followed you, you would walk with me always.

But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.

Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,

“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, is when I carried you.”

I was given this by my friend today. It was attributed to Mother Teresa. I find it very meaningful. We don’t do it just to get approval by other people but to do what we think is right.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;

It was being reported that someone wrote it on wall of Mother Teresa’s children’s home in Calcutta and the original version of this poem was written by Kent M. Keith in 1968 as part of a booklet for student leaders.

This is given to me by my Carecell Leader, so true to what I have heard previously. The question is can you do it?

How true, I think it apply to all the things that we set out to do also. It must be done consistenly and over a period of time…
