LEVERAGE
Sunday, May 27th, 2007“Leverage”, this word I learn only after I started my business. In dictionary (Wiktionary Dictionary), to leverage is to use; to gain advantage; to take full advantage of an existing thing. How does it apply to the business world? In my area, I run a graphic design house. After the design job is done, I pass it to the printer and in turn, he prints and delivers it for me. So I leverage on his delivery services to help me to send to my clients without additional cost. This may sound easy however, they are printers who don’t have delivery service or don’t provide this service to me being I seem to be the middle man here. So to leverage on something means I also have to look for someone suitable as well.
