The Agonising Wait…

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Sigh, so difficult, people buy cars day in day out. Likewise, I am just trying to get a car for myself, why is it seems so difficult? The wait is agonising, terrible feeling, to date, it is already coming to 4 months (which is suppose to be 3 months wait only) and still counting. Everything can that can be delayed got delayed. First is the vessel that got delayed to deliver on time. Then next is the leather seats that will be delayed. Just when can I receive it…? Sigh…

Yet the irony thing is you can’t rush them, reason being for fear they might do a screw up job. If you rush them, they might rush it out for you and in return give a lousy work. After all, you are the one facing it day in and out, and if problems arise, it will be very troublesome to fix it later. So what to do but to wait patiently…

Friday the 13th - Unlucky?

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Do you consider or see friday the 13th as unlucky? I don’t really until last friday when I accidentally knocked my wedding ring and a part of the diamond got chipped off. Yes, I do mean the diamond, though it is well known that diamond is the hardest stone and yet it got chipped off. I am really scared and went to the nearest jewellery shop to have it checked and inspected. True enough to my disappointment, it was really being chipped off. I immediately SMS my hubby on it, his reply - ”Time to get new one”. So am I unlucky or lucky now? It is never our intention to follow trend or to change every alternate year or whatsoever. Then again, we wore it for 5 years already, without realising it, standing against the test of time and not forgetting the constant knocks and etc. So what happen to the rest of the day?I went back to work as usual, however in the night, my hubby and I combed though the entire AMK Hub to source for suitable replacement. We visited almost all the big brands that we can find in the area, however, we can’t find suitable ones. Not forgetting our past experience, we practically combed the entire Singapore for this first pair to start with… So you know the search is not easy, to suit both our criteria is not making it any easier either.Anyway, the story does has a happy ending, we eventually manage to get something that we both agreed on sunday and of course after I visited twice on consecutive day in the same shop. :P

HTC Flash Mob Dance | Raffles Place

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

I am totally fascinated by this and wished I am there. Why? Being in business for 4 years, I know to pull off such an event like this is no easy feat. To ordinate with the number of dancers is already the first headache. I heard they are about 200 of them coming from NTU that make this slightly easier since you can work around their studying time and etc. Secondly is the venue, with so many dancers, you need to clear off certain area to perform. Hosting it at Raffles Place and during lunch time where people walk in and out while they are dancing? Who will think of that? Then again, that is the whole purpose, to dance during lunch time where the people are out from their offices being entertained with a pleasant surprise.

Not only that, there is no uniform or a particular dressing involved, how are you going to recognise them when they are all out there? Only thing is to open your eyes big big? That is what they are trying to bring the message across probably? A re-branding campaign to say their handphone are hip and popular across all ages? From students to working professionals? I have viewed this video clip a few times, some details I spotted are: some dancers are holding to HTC phones while dancing and flashing them occasionally (Subconscious marketing?), at the end, most of them left while bringing out their handphone pretending to be chatting on phones?

Lastly, enjoy… BTW, did I mention they stop at 1? Good things must be shared around right? They did another one in Wisma Atria the following day. :)
